Custom Platypus Plush
Develop a custom platypus plush concept with a cocoa brown body, fabric bill and flat tail. Set size, fabrics, construction and branding through sample review.

Design concept for custom development. Final appearance and specifications are agreed through sampling.
Design direction
The platypus concept combines a cocoa brown body with a grey brown fabric bill and a broad, flat tail. Its lying pose highlights the long outline and the contrast between the bill and body. The design keeps to the animal form, with no hat or clothing added to the silhouette.
Collection possibilities
This direction could be explored for an Australian animal collection, a freshwater wildlife range or visitor attraction merchandise. The horizontal profile offers variety beside seated animals in a coordinated gift assortment.
Build your project brief
Define the body length, width and the proportions of the bill and tail together. Discuss fabric contrast, fill feel and the construction of the flatter areas. Facial details, limb shapes, decoration, labels and packaging need to be included in the project brief and confirmed through sampling.
Sample review focus
Assess the sample from above and from the side to compare the bill outline, body taper and tail alignment. Check how the plush rests on a flat surface. Review seams around the bill and tail, and confirm that their finished thickness matches the agreed design direction.
