Custom Manatee Plush
Develop a custom manatee plush concept with a rounded muzzle, front flippers and paddle tail. Set size, materials and branding through a brief and sampling.

Design concept for custom development. Final appearance and specifications are agreed through sampling.
Design direction
The manatee concept has an elongated grey body, a rounded muzzle and a broad paddle shaped tail. Front flippers extend from the lower sides, while the softly defined face brings attention to the nose and mouth. The horizontal pose creates a recognisable aquatic silhouette with few colour changes. Its simple outline leaves room to explore body fullness, surface texture and facial proportions during custom development.
Collection possibilities
This direction could be considered for an aquarium inspired gift range, marine wildlife merchandise or a coastal visitor attraction project. It could also form part of a coordinated aquatic collection using a shared label and packaging style.
Build your project brief
Set the intended body length, width and tail span in the brief, then discuss the fabric, fill feel and overall construction. Flipper thickness, muzzle shaping and eye treatment need specific attention. Any decorative detail, sewn label, hangtag and packaging requirement should be included so they can be reviewed with the complete sample.
What to review in the sample
Assess the sample from the front, side and above to compare the muzzle, body taper and tail shape. Check how the flippers connect to the body and how the plush rests on a surface. Review seam positions around the face and tail, and confirm whether the chosen fill distribution produces the form agreed in the brief.
Use the custom plush sample checklist to organise your review. Explore the custom plush development process, then share your intended use, destination market, design references and packaging needs with EDWIN to discuss the next steps for your project.
